POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
Obulus Frontier

• Reduced the mitigation on solo encounters in Obulus Frontier.

The Lost City of Torsis: Ashiirian Court [Raid]

• Lord Rak'Ashiir has been allowed to summon his adds more freely.

Ruins of Kaesora: Ancient Xalgozian Temple [Raid]

• Xalgoz's failure effect "Vampiric Lifeleach" will now heal for slightly more.

Vaedenmoor: Realm of Despair [Raid]

• Vhaksiz the Shade's "Shade Walk" will now cause the target to take slightly more damage from all sources.
• Corrected an issue that caused Vhaksiz the Shade's "Shade's Influence" to not grow over time the longer it persists.

Crypt of Dalnir: Ritual Chamber [Heroic]

• Chamber Defense should no longer be used by The Kly when fighting him in normal mode.

ABILITIES / ALTERNATE ADVANCEMENT
General

• Corrected an issue that allowed swarm pets to share melee stats from the caster.

Beastlord

• Removed incorrect effect prose from Feral Stance that stated it increased attributes by 300%.

Wizard

• Blaze will now grant Fervor for level 100 wizards instead of ability modifier.

Warlock

• Empowered Bolt will now grant Fervor for level 100 warlocks instead of potency.

Summoner

• Minion Translocation now has a maximum range of 80 to prevent cases where some casters were able to cause it to cast while outside of it's normal maximum range of 45. The normal range of 45 still applies.

QUESTS

• Shades of Drinal: Trial of Everafter - Drinal's Steward, located at Ashen Tower, will now respond appropriately, when initially sent to him, even if you have completed "Shades of Drinal: Great and Small".
• Starting "A Goblin Nightmare" will no longer cause some Obulus remnants you are fighting to disappear and keep you stuck in combat.
• Marr's Chosen - Qzyk the Conqueror is now properly called from hiding, after defeating Enforcer Zifa, Krakat the Cruel, and Krakan The Wary.
• Where Help is Needed - Deletion of this quest now removes "Scrap of Cloth" from the player's inventory.
• Knotbarking Up the Wrong Tree [Heroic] - Knotbark in Zek the Scourge Wastes [Heroic] has had his challenge reduced.
• A Goblin Nightmare - Reduced the number of Kly abductors that must be killed and the subsequent number of frightened Bloody Tooth goblins that must be rescued from 10 to 5.
• The Warrior's Call Volume II - Caertaxian Legion and Guardians of the Underfoot factions are no longer required to purchase the Simple Jar and the Simple Drinking Straw.
• The Warrior's Call Volume II - Clan Threal'Gorr faction is no longer required to speak to Grand Oracle Hoop'Ak.

PUBLIC QUESTS

• Jaled Dar's Shade, The Iksar Hero, and The Omen Feeder now have fewer hitpoints.

POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
Tower of Frozen Shadow [X2 Raid]

• Tserrina should no longer be able to be killed, bypassing her exit script.

ABILITIES / ALTERNATE ADVANCEMENT

• Primary and Swarm pets will now share 20% of the casters DPS stat, and 100% of the casters strikethrough.
• Combos involving Telluric Rending and Terrestrial Coffin will now properly trigger.

QUESTS

• Ornate metal lamps for the quest "Key to Curing the Spellpox" should be a bit easier to find.
• Geobotany - Gathering 100 crystal dusts no longer spams updates. It now only updates the quest on the 100th crystal dust gathered.

PUBLIC QUESTS

• Reduced hitpoints on Jaled Dar's Shade, The Iksar Hero and The Omen Feeder.

Update Notes: Tuesday March 7, 2017

 

ASCENSION
Members now receive five bonus Guided Ascension scrolls per week from the Ascension masters. When these bonus scrolls are claimed you will be not be able to receive any more bonus scrolls for six days and 20 hours.
Ascension Masters will now continue to grant Guided Ascension scrolls until all four Ascension classes are level 10. You are still limited to one scroll per day.


EXPERT ZONES
Expert zones are more challenging versions of all current Kunark Ascending heroic zones, as well as the tier one, two, and three raid encounters in the Crypt of Dalnir: The Kly Stronghold and Arcanna'se Spire: Order and Chaos raid zones. Expert zone encounters drop more powerful items. All current heroic missions will update within the appropriate expert zones and grant an extra reward if completed utilizing an expert zone.

Speak to Prissaia <Expert Dungeon Portal Summoner> within Crusaders' Cave in Obulus Frontier to venture to these new instances.


POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
General

• Added bonus experience multipliers for defeating encounters in all Kunark Ascending zones.
• Removed bonus experience multipliers for defeating encounters from all previous expansion zones.
• Going forward, bonus experience multipliers will only be applied to zones in the most recent expansion era.
• Defeating the final boss in any Kunark Ascending heroic dungeons will grant a robust experience award.
• Reduced the lockout timer of Lost City of Torsis: Reaver's Remnants [Challenge Heroic] to 3 hours.
• Reduced the lockout timer of all other Kunark Ascending [Heroic], [Event Heroic], and [Advanced Solo] instances to 90 minutes.

The Fabled Acadechism [Both Versions]

• Removed the possibility of remaining stuck in combat against Emperor D'Vinn.

The Fabled Temple of Cazic-Thule

• Enforcer Zifa can now be killed.

ABILITIES / ALTERNATE ADVANCEMENT

• Ascension forms have been moved into their own ability, granted at level 1, 5 and 10 of each ascension class. Players that have already earned the required ascension level will not receive the new spell retroactively, however may purchase the forms at the ascension masters.
• Divine Righteousness will now display in the maintained spells window.
• Reduced the maximum increment on Brittle Armor to 24.
• Corrected a bug that caused Glacial Freeze to refill the targets power when it wore off.

QUESTS

• The End of an Era - Osh will offer this quest even if you are on "Curse of the Magic Thief" or "Awakening Bonds: Forks in the Road."
• The Shadow Odyssey, Chapter 5: Breaking the Chains - The dimensional anchor in Obelisk of Ahkzul will now properly update the quest when destroyed with the equipped the staff of Theer, even when it is destroyed in one hit.
• "The Legend of Dalnir - Page 9" will no longer spawn on the ground within Bathezid's Watch in Fens of Nathsar.
• A source of Malediction - The Journal of the Dread Exarch is now removed from player's inventory when the quest is deleted.
• The Maiden of Masks - The Tightly Locked Chest can no longer be interacted with if you already have the Desiccated Halfling Skin Mask.
• Jerol in Village of Shin now offers "a Letter of Summons" to those who have completed "Lack of Documentation."
• Key to Curing the Spellpox - The Blackscale rune cube no longer regenerates health when damaged.

PUBLIC QUESTS

• The Iksar Hero will no longer reset if all players are removed from its hate list.

ITEMS

• Polúmetis, the Arms Dealer of Ik will now sell Awakened epics to those that have previously completed their Kunark Ascending epic quest.
• The TSO Troubador and Dirge raid breastplates now properly apply their effect to the entire group.
• The TSO Ranger and Assassin raid 2-piece set bonuses now apply additional potency.
• The TSO Illusionist raid 6-piece set bonus now properly applies potency to recipients of Synergism.
• Rewards from the quest "Out of Her Element" may now be equipped at level 80.
• Corrected an issue where epic combat mitigation debuffs were wearing off faster then intended.

LIVE EVENTS

• What is That Noise?! - Mraugl Stonecrusher in the Bar of Brell, will now offer this quest to those who have completed it in years past.

POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
General

 

• Corrected an issue with expert zone encounter mitigation where it was not applying the full mitigation package for some encounters.

Raids

 

• Corrected an issue that caused all players zoning into the Crypt of Dalnir: The Kly Stronghold [Expert-Raid] and Arcanna'se Spire: Order and Chaos [Expert-Raid] to be put into their own instance.
• Xalgoz should no longer cast his heals during the few seconds he is looking for a new target.
• Boss progression in expert raid zones have become a bit more strict. For example, the first boss needs to be defeated before raiders can fight second boss, etc.

Crypt of Dalnir: The Kly Stronghold [Raid]

 

• Danariun, the Crypt Keeper should now correctly apply his buff "Gathering of Bones" in both normal and expert versions of the encounter.

Ward of Elements

 

• Captain Grush will now properly take full elemental and arcane damage when using his corresponding resistance buffs.

Crypt of Dalnir: Ritual Chamber [All Versions]

 

• Glacial Freeze should no longer cause Rector Droz'Kzar to remain immune to damage for the duration of the fight.

Arcanna'se Spire: Vessel of the Sorceress [Expert Event]

 

• The Armor of Sul should have buffs appropriate for an expert-level zone.

Kaesora: Tomb of the Venerated [Expert Event]

 

• Chatizad and Zannaska now walk the walk and talk the... they still don't talk. They also have proper buffs for an expert-level zone.

Lost City of Torsis: The Shrouded Temple [Event Heroic & Expert Event]

 

• The Mist Reaver's ability, Power Overload, now correctly converts the cost of its targets' spells from power to health.

Crypt of Dalnir: Wizard's Den [All Versions]

 

• Nazkra's Legion's Sacrifice will now lay waste to groups who allow it to reach 50 increments.

ITEMS

 

• A number of Ward of Elements related quests in Lavastorm have had their rewards updated with proper stats and level requirements.
• Shields and symbols sold by Awnya N'Kval in Lavastorm now list the correct item in their purchase price.
• Mitigation values on the Lava Lotus set from Ward of Elements have been adjusted up slightly to match the set's place in gear progression.
• A number of items in Kurn's Tower, Ward of Elements, and Emperor's Atheneum have been set to the correct Legendary or Fabled tag.
• Corrected an issue with expert armor patterns that prevented the contents from being granted

ZONES / POPULATION
Defeating the final boss in Kunark Ascending [Solo] and [Advanced Solo] instances now grant bonus experience.

Expert Zones
All expert versions of heroic and raid zones will now exit players to Obulus Frontier near the portal summoner. Normal versions of the zones will continue to exit players into their respective entrance locations.

Kaesora: Tomb of the Venerated [All Versions]
Implosion will no longer break Chatizad's and Zannaska's pathing.

Lost City of Torsis: The Shrouded Temple [Heroic]
The Meld of Haze should now return to combat after all group members are cleared of Lost in the Fog

Brokenskull Bay: Hoist the Yellow Jack [Heroic]
Adventurers are given more time to stop damaging Captain Krasnok before he and his crew becomes epic.

Arcanna'se Spire: Order and Chaos [Raid]
Shanaira the Prestigious has had her combat mitigation reduced to account for recent changes based on values a full raid of fully geared tier 3 raid force with max ascension levels would be able to overcome.

Vaedenmoor, Realm of Despair [Raid]
Setri Lureth has had her combat mitigation reduced to account for recent changes based on values a full raid of fully geared tier 3 raid force with max ascension levels would be able to overcome.

Arcanna'se Spire: Order and Chaos [Expert-Raid]
Sporous Plants and Magic Mushrooms in the Botanist Heridal encounter have had their health reduced.

Lost City of Torsis: Reaver's Remnants [Expert Challenge]
Neh'Ashiir has had her health lowered to a more realistic value.

ABILITIES
Retribution of the Fallen will now only increase damage for profession spells.
Implosions combo will now trigger off of the initial hit instead of the final hit.
Corrected an issue that prevented Wildfire from triggering its combo on certain tiers of encounters.
Corrected an issue that prevented Scorched Earth from triggering its combo on certain tiers of encounters.

Epics
Awakened Epic abilities will no longer be removed when betraying.
Awakened Epic abilities no longer have a plat or status cost to purchase from Polúmetis.

QUESTS
Clinical Trials for Trees - Applying Merza's Sick Tree Ointment to the trees is easier now for those on mounts.
Path to Understanding - Deletion of the quest will now remove the Fetish of Leadership from the character's inventory.
Shellfish Ambassador - Offering shellfish to an ulthork will no longer have a chance of immediately angering the target.
The Shadow Odyssey, Chapter 5: Breaking the Chains - The dimensional anchor in Obelisk of Ahkzul has been overhauled. It should now consistently update the quest when destroyed with the Staff of Theer equipped, even when it is destroyed in one hit.
Thumpy Sticks - The crafted "thumpy stick" now correctly identifies that it is associated with this quest.
Clinical Trials for Trees - Applying Merza's Sick Tree Ointment to the trees should now stop the poison mist from reappearing.
Finding Dolas - The Golden Shackle of Mist drop should now update in Lost City of Torsis: The Shrouded Temple [Expert - Event]

Arcanna'se Spire: Forgotten Sanctum [Heroic]
"The Five Chambers of Protection" has had its required time of completion increased from 6 minutes to 12 minutes.

Crypt of Dalnir: Baron's Workshop [Heroic]
"Put to Rest" has had its required time of completion increased from 8 minutes to 16 minutes.

ITEMS
The Sovereign's Medal - Item description now states that "Sarya Val'Sara, a Nye'Caelona merchant in Obulus Frontier" is the merchant that accepts these coin.
Expert's Channeled Shadow Neckguard has had its potency value corrected
Expert's Bracelet of Bones has had its potency value corrected
Wrist rewards from the quest Hook, Line, and... Anchor? may now be equipped at level 80.
The 3-piece bonus on the Volcanic Percussion set now grants higher bonuses to keep in progression with previous sets.
The 4-piece bonus on the TSO Mystic raid set now debuffs strength instead of multiattack (which raid mobs no longer use).
Several charms in Kurn's Tower that were previously class restricted are now usable by all classes.

The 4-piece TSO raid set bonus for Wizards now grants 15% additional base damage to Fusion II.

The Meld of Haze's damage shield, Toxic Meld, can now only trigger once every 10 seconds.

Arcanna'se Spire: Order and Chaos [Raid]
Shanaira the Prestigious should take more equal damage from all damage sources.

Crypt of Dalnir: The Kly Stronghold [Expert-Raid]
Gorius the Gray should now allow more time for his expert encounter.
Mitigation for the Minor and Major Gooblin adds have been slightly reduced.

Zek, the Scourge Wastes [Solo]
Knotbark for the quest "Knotbarking Up the Wrong Tree" should now spawn as a solo boss instead of heroic when triggered by killing Touk Deadwood.

QUESTS
"The Greater Good" has had its required time of completion increased from 4 minutes to 10 minutes.
Reduced the requirement for completing "Tome Tomb" from 25 to 20 for The Ruins of Cabilis [Solo] and [Heroic].
Ghoulbane Empowered - Toranim Skyblade will now offer or advance this quest for players who have already completed "Restoring Ghoulbane" and "The Symbol in the Flesh."
Heroes Honored - Gurlig now reminds the player they were sent to the ruins of Guk, if their quest is incomplete.
The Allu'thoa Front - Harvesting the Tallest Leaf will now place a "Tasty Russet Palm Leaf" in your inventory overflow, if your inventory is full.
The Rock - The dialogue between Osh, Merrik and Nika should no longer remain stuck.

The Ruins of Cabilis [Solo and Heroic]
Whether on the quest, "Egg Eradication," or not, creeping guardians will always drop spider eggs when killed. The eggs, however, can only be seen when the quest is active.

Kaesora: Xalgozian Stronghold [Solo and Heroic]
Putting Souls to Rest - Reduced the number of updates from 25 to 20 and increased the completion timer from 4 to 5 minutes.

MERCENARIES
The Gathering Goblin will shout "Death to you!" less often.

ITEMS
Kurn's Anger may now be equipped by all classes.
Shimmering Spellweaver's Bracers will no longer appear as boots when equipped, but as something else, probably bracers.
The correct crafting counter icons will appear when creating Curse of Void VII (Grandmaster).
Expert's Black Jade Waistguard now has the correct amount of base Potency.
Expert's Standard of the Over-General now has the correct amount of base Potency.
Expert's Brute Fur Cloak now has the correct amount of base Potency.
Expert's Amalgam of Efficacy now has the correct amount of base Potency.
Decurio's Charged Leather Boots now has the proper boots icon.
Dagger of Qlark - Item name is now spelled correctly.

All EverQuest II Servers will be brought offline on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 7:00 AM PT (14:00 UTC) for an update. Estimated downtime is less than 2 hours.

ZONES AND POPULATION
Vaedenmoor: Heart of Nightmares [Raid]

• Terris-Thule and Saryrn have had their damage thresholds adjusted. They should no longer panic and wipe the raid, instead they should take action to counter the increased incoming damage.

TIME-LOCKED PROGRESSION SERVERS

• Encounters will now gain reduced mitigation based on how far below the current expansion level cap they are. This value changes when a new expansion with a level cap increase, so as the level cap increases it becomes easier to level characters in less populated older content.

QUESTS

• Unsafe Harbor - Quest map RoI for Vishra in the Sovereign House of Qeynos is now accurate.
• The "Travels" of Yun Zi - Kunark or Bust - Venril's Crown should be easier to accurately trigger now, even on a mount.

ITEMS

• Completion of the class city quests in Qeynos now rewards cloaks matching those of the Freeport quests. The level 60 versions of the cloaks may now be purchased from the city merchants Oodifo and Viducius Festus once the appropriate quest has been completed.
• Several Treasured drops from The Gates of Ahket Aken have been upgraded to Legendary. Encounters in this zone will no longer drop chests containing only Treasured gear.
• Bold Malevolent Leather Forearms now has an appearance.
• Corrected an issue that prevented Ascendants Graces from properly applying its modifier.
