A new day is dawning in Norrath. Head back to the beginning, gear up and group up, and race with your fellow adventurers! Do you and your friends have what it takes to make it to defeat the final event boss before others on the server? Do so, and you will be handsomely rewarded! (And there are rewards aplenty even if you’re not FIRST!) EverQuest II’s first event server, The Race to Trakanon, is scheduled to open onTuesday, July 12, 2016.

What are Event Servers? What is the Race to Trakanon Event Server?

Event servers are something new for EverQuest II. Each event server will only be available for a limited time, and it’ll be set in some previous era of EverQuest II content. The Race to Trakanon will be set in Rise of Kunark.

Based on your achievements on an event server, players can earn rewards that can be claimed a character on another server of your choice.

Event Servers require an All Access Membership, and will only be available for a limited time.

What [Special Rewards]?

Regardless of playstyle, there’s something available for everyone on the Race to Trakanon.

Rewards come from completing various set achievements on the server. Completing the event achievements will give you event server currency, which allows you to work towards the rewards you’re interested in. Players can claim the event server currency on a LIVE character, and then can use it at the Event Server reward merchant that is located on the docks in Kylong Plains on all servers.

Special Note: TLE progression servers will not be able to access this merchant until Rise of Kunark is unlocked on their server.

If you’re looking for a challenge, there are different, special rewards available to those players that are the FIRST to achieve certain things, such as Adventure Levels, or getting your class’ epic. All rewards are granted via an account claim.

Some of the more unique rewards for being the first to achieve something on the Race to Trakanon:

First Level 80 – Special Relic Armor Pieces

First 10 Level 80 – Special Cyan Adornments

First 100 players to kill Trakanon – Special Relic Charms

 

For each class:

First to obtain Epic – Special Cloak Adornments

First 10 to obtain Epic – Special Cyan Adornments

 

There will also be special titles available for doing the following on The Race to Trakanon:

Getting Level 30 - “the Prodigious”

Getting Level 80 - “the Paramount”

Getting your Epic - “the Epic Completionist”

First 100 characters to defeat Trakanon - “Slayer of Trakanon”

 

Special Server Rules

To keep things interesting during the Race to Trakanon, there are additional special server rules.

Reduced experience rates

Increased encounter difficulty

Limited Marketplace

The Marketplace will be similar to what items are offered on the TLE server Stormhold. The major exception will be that items from the consumables/experience category will not be available for purchase on the Race to Trakanon server.

The Beastlord and Channeler classes will not be available

Mount speed reduction

NO experience bonuses for max characters on account

NO Veteran Claims

NO Guildhalls

NO Battlegrounds server access

NO Live Events (City Festivals, Tinkerfest, etc.)

NO Tradeskill writs

 

When Does The Event End?

The server will run at for a minimum of three months. While we expect that there will be players that defeat Trakanon much earlier than that time, we want to give players the opportunity to earn event server currency at their own pace, and use that currency for rewards for characters on other servers.

Once there are 30 days remaining on the server, we’ll let players know and all players will receive a transfer token that will let them move from the Race to Trakanon to a server that accepts transfers. If you don’t use your transfer token during the final 30-days of the server, your characters from The Race to Trakanon will be moved to Stormhold when the server closes.

Я не очень понял каким персом туда можно попасть? Текущим или нужно новый заводить?

скорее всего нового  нулевого, там же написано про достижение  30 лвла, 80 итд...и про порезанный опыт итд чтоб сложней было качаться

Ну т.е это что-то типа TLE сервера или как он там назывался..., когда хотели старую механику игры как бы возродить, поностальгировать...)). Мда, думаю, что я вряд ли пойду туда...

В общем специфично и задротно.

Welcome to Isle of Refuge.

No, not THAT Isle of Refuge. Well, not quite anyway. This Isle of Refuge is a new special server launching on Tuesday, June 28, 2016.

How will this server be different from Live servers or other special servers (such as TLE Progression and Event servers)? Here’s how:

Isle of Refuge is what we call a “Free Trade Server.” This means that almost all items can be traded freely between players. There are a few exceptions – Heirloom items purchased via a merchant or in the marketplace, granted from repeatable quests, or received via /claims will remain Heirloom.

When Isle of Refuge launches, there will be no transfers allowed on or off Isle of Refuge. This is a new Norrathian community being formed, and we want you all to have the opportunity to build relationships and a thriving player economy. There are no plans to EVER allow transfers off the Isle of Refuge server, though we may open transfers TO this server at a future date. While we’ll have news regarding transfers to Isle of Refuge in the future, at launch all characters will begin a new journey on the server.

A few other things to note about Isle of Refuge:

• There will be limited account bonuses and/or claims at the launch of the Free Trade Server.
• There will be no Battlegrounds access on the Free Trade Server.
• To play on the Free Trade Server, you must be an All Access Member.

Get ready to journey to a Norrath like you’ve never experienced before. Get ready for Isle of Refuge.

Мб идея и неплохая, только зачем все это летом делать (((( дачи, отпуска, жара... а как бы хорошо было порейдить пик виишан длинными осенними вечерами

What content and features are enabled? 

The Race to Trakanon server operates under similar rules to a Time-Locked Expansion server. As this is the Race to Trakanon, it means that it contains content up to and including Kunark is available. Classes and features from future expansions will not be available.

What races will be available for the event? 

All races are playable.

What classes will be available for the event? 

Beastlord and Channelers are the only classes that will not be available.

Will flying be enabled? 
While you may have a flying mount for looks on Race to Trakanon, flying, leaping and gliding have been disabled.

Will agnostic dungeons be available? 

Agnostic dungeons will not be available.

Can I earn or use Loyalty Tokens? 

The Loyalty system will not be available on event servers which includes earning and spending tokens.

Are mercenaries available? 

No, mercenaries are a feature from a future expansion and will not be available.

Are the difficulty adjustments the same as they are on time-locked servers? 

The difficulty adjustments are identical to time-locked server difficulty adjustments; including encounter damage, encounter mitigation, and player heal reduction.

Are there any restricted stats? 

The Crit Bonus stat will not apply on the Race to Trakanon server.

Can I buy event rewards on the Race to Trakanon server? 

You will not be able to purchase event rewards on the event server. Once your character has been moved to a live server after the event ends, you will be able to purchase event rewards as normal.

What are the achievements I can earn rewards with?

Each of these achievements will earn a reward in the game through various tasks such as adventuring, tradeskilling, or collecting. The first 100 players will earn a greater reward and the very first player to achieve them the top reward!

Can I disable my EQ2Players (Census) Updates on an Event Server? 

No, players will be unable to disable Census exports on an event server.
